The Value of Experiential Event Design  | Inspiration Hub | Scoop.it

Designing Events That Activate Emotion

Designing Events That Activate Emotion | Inspiration Hub | Scoop.it

Much has been written about experiential events, those that strive to bond attendees with the corporate brand or event organization by immersing them in fun, engaging experiences. But, there is more to experience creation than delivering fun. To truly connect with an audience, the event has to plumb the depths of human emotion by addressing four key drives: acquiring, bonding, learning, and defending. The Wellness Factor: Why Your Event Needs a Wellness Pavilion | Inspiration Hub | Scoop.it

While phrases like “work-life balance” and “workplace wellness” have been part of the business lexicon for some time, it has become a hot topic as of late. To Finish Meetings Faster Requires Explaining the White Space

To Finish Meetings Faster Requires Explaining the White Space | Inspiration Hub | Scoop.it

To effectively control your meetings to finish meetings faster (ahead of schedule) requires effort that begins long before your meeting starts.  We call the preparation period 7:59 work, as in before 8:00AM.  After the meeting starts, you can further accelerate group performance by serving your group as an effective process police person.  While the role of facilitator mandates core skills such as clear rhetoric, detailed questions, constant observance, and rigid neutrality, the facilitator’s role also demands control of the meeting agenda so that you finish meetings faster.

WhiteSpace - What It Is and Why It's Critical

WhiteSpace - What It Is and Why It's Critical | Inspiration Hub | Scoop.it

WhiteSpace is the strategic pause taken between activities. The term came from literally looking at the white space on the calendar and realizing that on the days where there was more literal white space, people were more effective and projects moved faster. It can be used in tiny sips as small as 10 seconds or in longer stretches, and these thoughtful pauses laced through the busyness of the workday are the oxygen that allows everything else to catch fire.

Executives, managers and front-line folks can learn to use WhiteSpace recuperatively (to reboot their taxed minds) and constructively (to set aside the minutiae of the day and focus on big thoughts about innovation, strategy and execution).
